About the yojna
The State Government has launched the ‘Sahara Scheme’ to provide financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month to the patients belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society, who are suffering from specified diseases such as Parkinson, Malignant Cancer, Paralysis, Muscular Dystrophy, Hemophilia and Thalassemia etc.
The patients suffering from chronic renal failure or any other disease, which renders a person permanently incapacitated, have also been covered under the scheme. The main objective of the ‘Sahara Scheme’ is to provide financial assistance as a social security measure to patients suffering from fatal diseases in order to obviate and mitigate the hardships faced during prolonged treatment to an extent.

राज्य सरकार ने रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए ‘सहारा योजना’ शुरू की है। समाज के आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों से संबंधित रोगियों को 3000 प्रति माह, जो पार्किंसंस, घातक कैंसर, पक्षाघात, मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी, हीमोफिलिया और थैलेसीमिया आदि जैसी विशिष्ट बीमारियों से पीड़ित हैं।
क्रोनिक रीनल फेल्योर या किसी अन्य बीमारी से पीड़ित रोगी, जो एक व्यक्ति को स्थायी रूप से अक्षम बना देता है, को भी इस योजना के तहत कवर किया गया है। सहारा योजना का मुख्य उद्देश्य घातक बीमारियों से पीड़ित रोगियों को सामाजिक सुरक्षा उपाय के रूप में वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करना है ताकि लंबे समय तक इलाज के दौरान आने वाली कठिनाइयों को कम किया जा सके।
