The Indian Army has issued a notification for the recruitment of Havildar and Naib Subedar under the Sports Quota for Intake 02/2024. This opportunity is open to unmarried Indian male and female candidates who are passionate about sports and meet the necessary eligibility criteria. Important Dates
- Starting Date for Receipt of Application: June 1, 2024
- Last Date for Receipt of Application: September 30, 2024, by 17:00 Hrs
Age Limit
- Age Range: 17 ½ to 25 years
- Candidates must have completed 17 ½ years on the first day of enrolment and should not have crossed 25 years on the last day of enrolment.
- Eligible Birth Dates: October 1, 1999, to September 30, 2006 (both dates inclusive)
Physical Standards
For Male Candidates:
- Height:
- Western Himalayan (Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab Hill, Garhwal, Kumaon): 163 cm
- Eastern Himalayan (Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Hill Region of West Bengal): 160 cm
- Western Plains (Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Western Uttar Pradesh): 170 cm
- Eastern Plains (Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha): 169 cm
- Central Plains (Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu): 168 cm
- Southern Plains (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands): 166 cm
- Gorkhas & Ladakhis: 157 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical Standards
- Chest Expansion: Minimum of 5 cm
- Physical Fitness Test:
- 1.6 Km Run: Must qualify within 5 minutes 45 seconds
- 9 Feet Ditch: Need to qualify
- Zig-Zag Balance: Need to qualify
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 162 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical Standards
- Chest Expansion: Minimum of 5 cm
- Physical Fitness Test:
- 1.6 Km Run: Must qualify within 8 minutes
- 10 Feet Long Jump: Need to qualify
- 3 Feet High Jump: Need to qualify
