Army Public Schools Teacher Recruitment 2025

Army Public Schools (APS), located across various Cantonments and Military Stations in India, are prestigious CBSE-affiliated institutions managed by Local Military Authorities. These schools offer teaching opportunities for Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has announced the recruitment process for 2025, including an Online Screening Test (OST) and subsequent selection stages.

Online Screening Test (OST)

The OST is a computer-based exam scheduled for 20–21 September 2025 (with reserve dates on 22–23 September 2025). Conducted centrally by AWES, it ensures uniform teacher quality across APS. The test is mandatory for non-OST qualified candidates within two years of appointment, requiring a minimum 50% score (100/200 marks). Key details include:

  • Eligibility: Candidates must meet educational and age criteria (see below). Holders of existing scorecards can retake the OST to improve scores or qualify for a different post (e.g., TGT to PGT).

  • Format: 200 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each) with 1/4 mark negative marking for wrong answers.

  • Scorecard: Valid for life, downloadable from www.awesindia.com until 31 March 2026.

  • Registration: Open from **5 June to 16 August
