दिल्ली में MANDI का सम्मान
Union Minister Mrs. Smriti Irani ने बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से नवाजा
उपायुक्त श्री ऋग्वेद ठाकुर ने दिल्ली में आयोजित महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय के कार्यक्रम में केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री Mrs. Smriti Irani के हाथों राष्ट्रीय स्तर का यह पुरस्कार ग्रहण किया।
यह हिमाचल के लिए गौरव का विषय है कि MANDI समेत प्रदेश के तीन जिलों को ‘बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ’ अभियान में जागरूकता सृजन एवं आउटरीच गतिविधियों के शानदार काम के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पुरस्कृत किया गया है। MANDI जिले के साथ साथ शिमला और सिरमौर जिले को भी केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री Mrs. Smriti Irani ने सम्मानित किया है।
काबिलेगौर है कि मुख्यमंत्री श्री जय राम ठाकुर ने 7 अक्तूबर, 2018 को MANDI जिला में बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान का शुभारंभ किया था।
HIMACHAL प्रदेश सरकार ने बेटी बचाओ पढ़ाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान को महत्व देते हुए अनेक प्रभावी कदम उठाए हैं। महिलाओं को सशक्त और स्वावलंबी बनाने और बेटियों को उन्नति के समान अवसर मुहैया करवाने के लिए कई योजनाएं चलाई गई हैं।
यह अपने आप में एक शानदार उपलब्धि है कि एक साल से भी कम के अरसे में बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान के लिए जिला को दूसरी बार राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। इससे पहले MANDI को बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ में प्रभावी सामुदायिक सहभागिता के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से नवाजा जा चुका है। इसी साल 24 जनवरी को उपायुक्त श्री ऋग्वेद ठाकुर ने तत्कालीन केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री श्रीमति मेनका गांधी से दिल्ली में यह राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया था।

Mandi honored in Delhi
Union Minister Mrs. Smriti Irani conferred National Award for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rigveda Thakur received this national-level award in the hands of Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Smriti Irani, at a function organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in Delhi today.
It is a matter of pride for Himachal that three districts of the state, including Mandi, have been awarded at the national level for the splendid work of awareness generation and outreach activities in the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign. Along with Mandi district, Shimla and Sirmaur districts have also been honored by the Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Smriti Irani.
*** It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur launched Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign in Mandi district on October 7, 2018.
The state government has taken several effective steps, giving importance to Beti Bachao Padhao Beti Padhao campaign. Several schemes have been launched to make women strong and self-reliant and to provide equal opportunities of advancement to daughters.
** It is a grand achievement in itself that the district has been awarded the National Award for the second time for the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign in less than a year. Earlier, Mandi has been awarded the National Award for effective community participation in Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. On 24th January this year, Deputy Commissioner Shri Rigveda Thakur received the National Award from the then Union Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Maneka Gandhi in Delhi.
